Trump Vows to Halt Migration From “Third World Countries” After D.C. Attack

Former United States President Donald Trump has declared that the US will permanently suspend migration from what he described as “third world countries,” following the shooting of two National Guard soldiers near the White House.
At a rally in Washington, Trump attributed rising insecurity in the nation to migration, warning that the United States faces a “major crisis” if immigration policies are not tightened. He stated the freeze would remain in effect until broader reforms on border security and immigration vetting are implemented.
People have questioned the feasibility of such a sweeping ban, pointing out that immigration involves complex legal, humanitarian, and economic factors. They warned that a blanket suspension could damage America’s relationships with allied nations, disrupt immigration court systems, and undermine long-established values around refugee protection.
What do you think — is such a freeze justified in the name of security, or is it an over-reaction that threatens human rights and global trust? Share your thoughts in the comments.
