Ali Khamenei, Air Strikes, Iran

United States President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is dead following air strikes, asserting the development on his social media platform. However, Tehran has not yet confirmed the report and official details remain unclear.

In a statement posted on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump said Khamenei was killed in air strikes and described him as “one of the most evil people in history”. He added that the reported death represents the “greatest chance” for Iranians to “take back their country”. The US president also said Iran’s military and security forces were looking for immunity as the conflict continues.

Trump claimed that the Iranian leader had been unable to evade “intelligence and highly sophisticated tracking systems”, and he urged elements of Iran’s security forces to join with opposition forces.

The report from Trump comes amid an escalation of conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, but Iranian authorities have not publicly confirmed Khamenei’s death at the time of this report.
