Raheem Sterling Admits Dangerous Driving and Drug Possession Following M3 Motorway Crash

Former England international and Premier League star Raheem Sterling has pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving, drug possession, and failing to provide a specimen following a high-speed crash involving his £270,000 Lamborghini Urus.

Appearing at the Basingstoke Magistrates' Court in Hampshire on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the 31-year-old winger admitted to driving dangerously across the M25, M3, A327, and Minley Road before crashing into a barrier near the Minley interchange on May 28. Dressed in a dark top, black suit jacket, and black trousers, Sterling formally entered guilty pleas to all three counts brought by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Police confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the late-May collision and no injuries were sustained at the scene. However, officers recovered six canisters of nitrous oxide—a illegal Class C drug when intended for wrongful inhalation—and noted that Sterling refused to provide a specimen for testing following the incident.
