Portuguese Football Federation Suspends Cristiano Ronaldo for Up to Six Months Following Camp Walkout

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has officially suspended national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo for up to six months, following his abrupt departure from the training camp and public fallout with head coach Jorge Jesus.
The disciplinary action comes in the wake of Ronaldo’s explosive statement detailing broken promises regarding his playing time and a breakdown in trust with the coaching staff during the international break. FPF executives convened an emergency meeting to review the incident, ruling that the 41-year-old forward's walkout ahead of the UEFA Nations League fixture against Denmark constituted a serious breach of team protocol and insubordination. Consequently, Ronaldo will miss Portugal's remaining group-stage matches and upcoming international fixtures.
Ronaldo previously indicated in his statement that he intends to serve his suspension and remain available for selection if physically fit.
