PSC Fixes April 28–30 for Exams, Issues Fresh Scam Alert

The Police Service Commission has announced April 28 to 30, 2026, as the dates for the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police as constables.
In a statement issued by its Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Njoku Kalu, the commission said the exercise will be conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force across designated centres in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the commission, only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening stage will be eligible to participate in the examination.
Qualified applicants have been advised to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation slips, which will contain details of their specific test date, time, and venue.
Candidates are required to come to the examination centres with a pen, their National Identification Number slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission bearing a clear photograph, and a printed copy of their examination invitation card. The prescribed dress code includes white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, the commission stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free. It warned applicants to beware of fraudsters and avoid any individual or platform demanding payment or promising assistance in securing employment.
“The recruitment process is entirely free, and any form of job racketeering or financial inducement will be met with the full force of the law,” the commission stated.
Applicants are urged to rely solely on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the recruitment exercise.
