PDP Chieftain Gambari Declares Interest in Kwara Governorship Race

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Omar Bolaji Gambari, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State, saying he wants to provide better leadership and development for the state.
Gambari said his decision to seek the governorship was driven by his desire to address key challenges facing the state and improve the welfare of residents. He noted that his experience and understanding of the state’s needs have prepared him to lead effectively.
According to him, Kwara requires purposeful leadership that prioritises economic growth, youth empowerment, and improved public services. He added that his ambition is aimed at building a more inclusive and progressive state where opportunities are available to all citizens.
The PDP chieftain also stressed the need for policies that would stimulate development, strengthen institutions, and promote sustainable progress across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
