Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has officially challenged her long-time friend and Funke Akindele to a celebrity boxing bout. The challenge comes on the heels of the massive financial success and viral attention surrounding the recent fight between streamer Carter Efe and singer Portable.
Badmus took to her Instagram page to call out Akindele, specifically tagging prominent sponsors to back the potential event. "Funke Akindele, let’s get on the boxing ring. It’s about time," she wrote. "Soso, E-Money, let’s get to it. No time. Money has to be made."
The inspiration for this challenge appears to be the high-stakes match held on Friday, May 1, where Carter Efe defeated Portable. The financial rewards for that single night were staggering: Carter Efe walked away with a N50 million winner's prize. Lagos socialite E-Money gifted the winner an additional N50 million to celebrate the victory. Prior to the fight, music executive Soso Soberekon reportedly gave both Carter Efe and Portable N40 million each just for stepping into the ring.
Do you think Funke Akindele will accept the challenge, or is this just a playful move by Eniola Badmus to catch in on the boxing hype? Share your comments below!

Portable has rejected the outcome of his celebrity boxing match against streamer Carter Efe, claiming the fight was rigged by organizers to avoid a massive financial loss.
