Mo Salah Celebrates Egypt's Historic First World Cup Win Against New Zealand

Former Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has expressed his excitement after Egypt got their first-ever win at a FIFA World Cup tournament. The Egyptian captain described the landmark victory as incredible while addressing journalists after the match on Monday. The Pharaohs of Egypt came from a goal down to defeat New Zealand 3-1 in their second group match played at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada.
The 34-year-old winger was the star of the night as he scored one goal and provided an assist to help his country secure the historic three points. With this victory, the team coached by Hossam Hassan now tops Group G with four points from two matches, sitting ahead of Iran, Belgium, and New Zealand. Speaking on the achievement, Salah stated that it is a great moment for the players and staff, and he hopes they can continue the good form to qualify for the next round.
The football star urged his teammates to enjoy the historic celebration before shifting their focus to their upcoming group fixtures. He noted that the victory will be remembered for many years as one of the greatest achievements in the history of Egyptian football.
