The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has dismissed reports suggesting internal divisions within the party, insisting it remains united and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Musa, described claims of a crisis as “baseless and misleading,” alleging that some politicians were spreading false information to weaken opposition parties.

Musa stated that despite attempts to portray disagreements within the party, the ADC in Kebbi remains strong and intact, adding that there is no internal conflict threatening its structure.

He explained that ongoing activities within the party are part of a restructuring process aimed at strengthening its structure at the local government and ward levels as preparation for the 2027 polls.

The spokesperson also noted that a court had affirmed the legitimacy of the party’s national leadership, stressing that the leadership continues to operate in line with the law and the party’s constitution.

Musa further revealed that the party had begun an online membership registration exercise, urging supporters to register and obtain membership cards to be recognised as full members of the ADC.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparent and people-oriented politics, calling on residents to disregard rumours suggesting that the Kebbi chapter had split into factions.
