Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that he will secure re-election in the 2026 governorship election, citing the support of the people and the achievements of his administration.

Adeleke said his confidence is rooted in the backing of residents who, according to him, have benefited from the policies and programmes implemented by his government since assuming office. He added that the strength of his administration lies in the trust and goodwill of the people of Osun State.

The governor also urged citizens to remain vigilant and actively participate in the electoral process ahead of the poll scheduled for August 8, 2026. He emphasised that elections should not be treated as warfare but as a democratic exercise where people freely choose their leaders.

According to Adeleke, attempts by political opponents to gain power through actions that could cause hardship for the people will fail at the ballot box. He maintained that voters would ultimately decide the outcome through their votes.

He further expressed optimism that his administration would win convincingly across most of the state’s local government areas in the forthcoming election.
