Kano Governor Pays Tribute to Elder Statesman Shehu Yahaya, Honours Legacy of Service

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed condolences following the death of respected elder statesman and businessman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, describing his passing as a significant loss to both Kano State and the wider community.
In a statement released through the governor’s office, Yahaya was remembered for his integrity, commitment to public good and contributions to community development in Dakata Kawaji, located in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Governor Yusuf praised the late elder’s lifelong dedication to peace, philanthropy and service, noting that his impact would remain visible through the lives and communities he influenced.
He also offered prayers for the deceased and extended support to his family during the period of mourning.
Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is survived by his children, including Muhammad Shehu of Gerawa Group.
