Eyitayo Jegede Resigns From Peoples Democratic Party Ahead of 2027

Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has officially resigned his membership from the party. In a formal resignation letter addressed to his ward chairman in Akure, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria announced his immediate departure from the opposition party after years of prominent political involvement.
Jegede, who served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, was the PDP's flagbearer in both the 2016 and 2020 Ondo State governorship elections. In his resignation notice, the legal luminary expressed gratitude to party members, stakeholders, and supporters who stood by him throughout his tenure and electoral campaigns in the state.
