Dele Odule

Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has opened up about a period of intense despair in his past, revealing that he once went as far as pricing his own casket. Speaking in a candid interview with Feelright TV, the renowned thespian explained that the decision was born out of a profound sense of hopelessness and a perceived lack of progress in his professional career compared to his peers.

Odule disclosed that he was accompanied during this dark moment by his longtime colleague, Ebun Oloyede (popularly known as Olaiya Igwe). He described a stark scene where Olaiya Igwe "started crying like a baby" upon realizing the gravity of Odule's intentions. Despite not suffering from any physical illness at the time, the actor felt that he had hit a dead end in the film industry and that his life "was nothing to write home about" compared to his former schoolmates.
