Nigerian forward Gift Orban delivered a masterclass performance by netting a rapid second-half hat-trick as Amed SK stormed to a 5-0 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
After an own goal by Emin Bayram opened the scoring late in the first half, Orban took full control after the break. The 24-year-old attacker struck twice in quick succession in the 52nd and 56th minutes before capping off his performance with a third strike in the 75th minute. Substitute Mbaye Diagne sealed the 5-0 thrashing with a late goal in the 84th minute.
The hat-trick brings Orban’s seasonal total to 6 goals in 5 league matches since joining Amed SK on loan, putting him directly on par with fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray) at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig goalscoring charts.
Orban’s electric goalscoring streak provides a major boost ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign against Madagascar later this month.
