A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has commended Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his intervention in the lingering traditional stool dispute in the state.
The party stalwart described the governor’s actions as timely and necessary, noting that the steps taken have helped to maintain peace and prevent a breakdown of law and order in the affected community.
The commendation comes amid tensions surrounding the disputed “Eze Uzu” stool, which had raised concerns over possible unrest before government intervention.
According to the report, Soludo had earlier taken decisive steps by involving security agencies, including the police, to ensure compliance with the recommendations of a panel set up to address the crisis.
The APGA chieftain further lauded the governor’s commitment to upholding due process and respecting traditional institutions, stressing that his actions demonstrated leadership and a desire to safeguard stability in the state.
He urged stakeholders and community members to support the government’s efforts and embrace peaceful resolutions, emphasising the importance of unity in resolving traditional leadership disputes.
The intervention is seen as part of broader measures by the Anambra State Government to strengthen governance at the grassroots level and prevent conflicts linked to traditional institutions.
