The Chairman of Zobis Group, John Ezeobi, has visited Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company in a strategic move aimed at fostering collaboration among indigenous manufacturers in Nigeria.
Ezeobi paid a courtesy visit to the founder of the company, Innocent Chukwuma, with the meeting described as informal but significant for strengthening industry relationships and promoting knowledge exchange.
Speaking after the visit, Ezeobi praised Chukwuma’s contributions to Nigeria’s automotive industry, noting that his achievements serve as a source of inspiration for emerging industrialists. He emphasised the importance of engaging with experienced business leaders to gain insights and drive innovation within the local manufacturing ecosystem.
According to him, interactions of this nature are essential in building stronger professional networks and encouraging mentorship among Nigerian entrepreneurs. He added that collaboration between established and growing companies could help address persistent challenges in the sector.
Nigeria’s manufacturing industry continues to grapple with issues such as high production costs, foreign exchange volatility, and infrastructural deficits. Ezeobi noted that increased cooperation among indigenous firms could play a vital role in overcoming these hurdles and sustaining long-term growth.
Although no formal agreement was announced, the visit signals a broader push for partnerships that leverage local expertise and capacity. Industry stakeholders believe such engagements could boost productivity, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to economic development.
The meeting between the two Anambra-based industrialists highlights a growing trend of collaboration within Nigeria’s private sector, as manufacturers seek to strengthen domestic production and reduce reliance on imports.
