World Cup: Mockery, Complete Shame — Burley Slams FIFA Over Decision on Ronaldo Suspension

Former Craig Burley has condemned FIFA for its decision to allow Cristiano Ronaldo to play at the upcoming World Cup after reducing his ban.
Ronaldo had been shown a red card for violent conduct — elbowing a defender during a qualifier — a foul that in the past would carry a multi-match suspension. Instead, FIFA imposed a three-match ban but immediately suspended the final two games under a one-year probation, effectively allowing him to take part in Portugal’s opening World Cup matches.
What do you think of this decision by FIFA? Do you believe such leniency sets a bad precedent for fair play in international football? Share your thoughts in the comments.
