Bible passage

You Are Loved

Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I HAVE LOVED YOU…” John 13:34

Building a foundation of solid, successful relationships is one of the most fulfilling goals we could ever achieve. When our relationships, both horizontal and vertical, are going on great, we are peaceful. However, most people can trace their successes and failures to the relationships in their lives. That is simply because success is a collection of relationships. God created us ultimately for great relationships with Him and others.

However, you must know and accept that He loves you before you can love others genuinely. Some people could not comprehend that God loves them, whilst others find it difficult to believe that God could love them unconditionally. Maybe that is you the reader of this devotion. You do not believe that anyone could ever love you, how much more God whom you cannot see. Let me assure you that God loves you, just as you are. Whatever your past history, negative experience in life, abuse or whatever, it is all subjected to the power of the blood of Jesus, which is God’s greatest display of love for mankind.

When you accept God’s love, it makes it easier to love Him in return. Your heart becomes filled with gratitude, praise, joy, hope… all because of what He has done for you… all because He loves you! As you begin to gain greater revelation about God’s unconditional love for you, you will begin to tangibly see a breakthrough in your relationship with Him, your loved ones and those around you. God has created you to receive love, and then to give it away (Ephesians 5:2). When you do that, expect uncommon breakthroughs in ways you could never imagine!

Whose counsel do you listen to? Who are your counsellors? Sometimes people make decisions they later regret because the counsel they heeded was ungodly.
