Bible Passages

The cry of His heart

You have demonstrated how much you love and care for the work of Christ around the world through your support of this ministry. Your gifts help us to feed His Sheep. Honour and I are so grateful for your commitment to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. With your support God is enabling us to reach many people across the globe, touching one soul at a time. Jesus came for everyone, 1 Peter 3:18 - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: but He only chose twelve to be His close companions.

He lived with twelve, but He took only three of them up to the Mount of Transformation in Mathew 17. He took three to pray with Him privately in the Garden of Gethsemane. He drew three close to Himself ... but He asked one person, just one person, in all recorded history, the most intimate and vulnerable question: “Do you love me” and that person was Peter.

The question was put to Peter again and again by the Lord Jesus to be assured of Peter’s love. Thank God, Peter repeatedly insisted that he truly loved the Lord, then Jesus challenged him to demonstrate that love in three simple words: “Feed My Sheep, John 21:17.” Our Lord did not want empty words as He was not interested in lip service. Have you found yourself in a situation where you say what you do not really mean? You say something but you actually meant something else. Your word must be your bond.

The cry of Jesus heart in those final hours of His earthly ministry was to know that lost sheep would be found and nurtured after He returned to heaven. Wonderful friend, loving Jesus is not about talk - it is about action which is primarily FEEDING THE SHEEP.

Bible passage

Yes, really! God can heal your appetite. Bread is a second cause; the LORD Himself is the first source of our sustenance. He can work without the second cause as well as with it; and we must not tie Him down to one mode of operation. Let us not be too eager after the visible, but let us look to the invisible God.
