UBA Marks Women’s Month with ‘Gen W – The Evolved Woman’ Series

United Bank for Africa Plc has announced a special edition of its quarterly Business Series aimed at promoting female leadership and economic empowerment as part of activities marking Women’s Month.
The event, themed “Gen W – The Evolved Woman,” is scheduled to hold on March 12, 2026, in Lagos, where female entrepreneurs and professionals will share experiences and insights on leadership and business growth.
According to the bank, the forum will feature speakers including Joycee Awosika, founder of ORÍKÌ Group; Tomike Adeoye, media personality and entrepreneur; Olufunke Davies, founder of Fine Funky; and broadcaster Ayo Mario-Ese, while actor Tobi Bakre will host the session.
Speaking on the initiative, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the platform highlights the growing influence of African women and creates space for conversations on leadership, ambition, and opportunities.
She added that the session aims to spotlight a new generation of women who are not only seeking opportunities but actively creating them across business and leadership spaces.
