Trump, Iran, Peace Terms, War Deal

United States President Donald Trump has said the US is not prepared to reach a deal with Iran to end the ongoing war, insisting that the current terms being proposed are not acceptable.

Speaking in an interview with NBC News, Trump said Iran had shown interest in negotiating but stressed that he would not agree to a settlement until better conditions are presented. He said, “Iran wants to make a deal, and I don’t want to make it because the terms aren’t good enough yet.”

The conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran has continued to escalate more than two weeks after hostilities began, with both sides maintaining hardline positions despite rising casualties and economic pressure.

Trump warned that US forces could intensify strikes along Iran’s coastline north of the Strait of Hormuz in a bid to reopen the critical maritime route for global oil shipments, which has been severely disrupted by the conflict.

The closure of the strategic waterway has contributed to rising global oil prices and heightened concerns over energy supply disruptions.

The US leader’s remarks shows Washington’s tough stance as the war continues, even as international observers call for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.

Iran-US-Israel

After weeks of relentless surges, global crude oil prices recorded their first significant drop on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The dip in prices is being attributed to a combination of factors, including a slight de-escalation in rhetoric from the warring factions and reports of increased production from non-OPEC nations looking to fill the supply vacuum.
