Rema has revealed the personal reasons behind the end of his last romantic relationship, disclosing that his ex-girlfriend was "quite manipulative."

Speaking during a vulnerable interview with prominent YouTuber Korty EO, he described the relationship as a mixed experience. While it had its beautiful moments, he explained that it ultimately became an emotional drain that lacked genuine peace.

“My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me, coming back home is where you want to feel relieved. But when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done,” Rema shared.

Rema noted that he is completely stepping back from dating to focus on himself and his music, especially as he gears up to join the star-studded lineup performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
