Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has completely removed her husband’s surname, Churchill, from her official profiles. A close look at her digital handles reveals that her profile name, which previously read "Rosalina Meurer Churchill," has been updated to simply read "Rosalina Meurer".
“Hi, I am Rosy Meurer. They say time away can make or break you; for me, it built me. I know I disappeared, and I am sorry... but in all of this, I didn't stop becoming.”
— Rosy Meurer
The friction initially ignited in January 2026 when celebrity businessman Olakunle Churchill publicly reunited with his prominent ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, ahead of their son's 10th birthday. Dikeh's public declaration of affection ("I love you with the love of God") toward Churchill triggered online trolling against Meurer, who was historically accused of breaking the former marriage.
Churchill completely snubbed both Meurer and Dikeh during March Mother's Day celebrations, focusing solely on his own mother. In June, both women returned the energy by entirely ignoring Churchill on Father's Day, prompting him to post a cryptic message about "playing dumb and watching fake people perform."
Following Meurer's initial social media hint at a split, Churchill shocked the public by releasing a formal statement claiming a legal divorce was impossible because they were never legally bound by court or church ordinances, describing their 2021 union as merely an "introduction."
Meurer breaking her digital silence, dropping her wedding ring, and launching her independent filmmaking platform, Rosy Meurer Studios, to mark a new chapter away from the drama.
