Destiny Etiko

Popular Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko is swearing off sports gambling forever after a devastating financial blow. Taking to her Instagram page on Sunday night, she lamented losing a staggering ₦5 million on a single wager placed during the high-stakes FIFA World Cup 2026™ final between Spain and Argentina.

Etiko, openly admitted that this was her very first time participating in sports betting, expressed complete shock at the emotional and financial toll of the game. The actress had backed Argentina to win the tournament, only to watch her massive stake evaporate into thin air when Spain secured a dramatic 1-0 victory in extra time.

“First time betting and I lost. Will never try it again. My N5 million is gone. In fact, I'm done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me.”
