PETA Quotes Kim Kardashian Over Christmas Puppy Gifts
Omoyeni Olabode

Animal rights organisation PETA reacted strongly to reports that Kim Kardashian gifted each of her four children a puppy for Christmas. The group shared a blunt statement highlighting concerns about responsible pet ownership and the wider impact on animal shelters.
“Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that. They can try to make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt a thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis.”
The statement was shared by PETA via PEOPLE, as part of its ongoing advocacy against impulse pet gifting and commercial breeding. Animal welfare organisations have consistently warned that gifting pets during festive periods often leads to abandonment once the novelty wears off.
