Pastor Adefarasin, Genocide Claims

Senior Pastor of Guiding Light Assembly, Wale Adefarasin, has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims of genocide against Christians in Nigeria, describing them as exaggerated and politically motivated.

In a trending video, Adefarasin said violence against Christians in Nigeria is not new, noting that such incidents have occurred for decades in areas like southern Kaduna and Plateau State.

He questioned the U.S.’s sudden concern for Nigerian Christians, suggesting it may be linked to Nigeria’s growing economic strength and natural resources.

According to him, the West’s portrayal of Nigeria as unsafe for Christians “doesn’t reflect reality,” emphasizing that the issue should not be labelled as genocide.
