Osun Guber: Davido Calls Out Gboyega Oyetola on Social Media, Saying ‘Your Plan No Go Work’

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly called out the former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola. In a blunt social media post on X (formerly Twitter) in the early hours of Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the singer blasted the minister, labeling him as desperate and claiming his alleged political schemes will fail.

Davido wrote on his official handle:

"The most desperate politician in the world is @GboyegaOyetola very embarrassing. Oyetola your plan no go work."

Davido’s heavy involvement in Osun politics is deep-rooted, as he is the nephew of the incumbent Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Just two weeks ago, the singer announced that he was taking a two-month hiatus from his music career specifically to join the campaign trail and fully mobilize support for his uncle's re-election bid.

What do you think about Davido taking a break from music to campaign for his uncle and publicly tackling opposition politicians? Please drop your comments below!
