No Other Political Party Can Match Our Transparency – APC Boasts Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has boasted about its internal democratic processes, asserting that no other political party in Nigeria can match its level of transparency and fairness when it comes to conducting primary elections.

The ruling party made this declaration amid its ongoing nationwide National Assembly primary elections to elect flagbearers for the Senate and House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to party leadership, the smooth, orderly, and open conduct of the primaries across various states serves as a testament to the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and the rule of law.

The party emphasized that the widespread adoption of direct and transparent primary methods in several constituencies allows ordinary card-carrying members to have a direct say in who represents them, thereby boosting grassroots confidence and ownership of the electoral process.

With the ruling party aiming to consolidate its legislative majority and retain power in the 2027 cycle, the APC leadership maintained that its transparent candidate-selection process is what sets it apart as Nigeria's most reliable and progressive political platform.

Do you agree with the APC's claim that its primary elections are unmatched in transparency, or do you think other parties handle internal democracy better? Please drop your comments below!
