Elizabeth Stankus, Edoardo Ferragamo, Stylish Wedding

Edoardo Ferragamo, musician and grandson of fashion legend Salvatore Ferragamo, and Elizabeth Stankus tied the knot in a lavish three-day wedding event in Portofino, Italy, blending Italian and American traditions with creative flair.

The couple first crossed paths nearly seven years ago at a dinner in New York’s SoHo. Elizabeth, working in brand marketing, recalls how Edoardo charmed her with playful gestures, from reading palms to admiring her grandmother’s vintage bracelet, never shying away from making a connection.

In December 2023, the two visited Ferragamo’s family estate in Florence for Christmas. There, Edoardo arranged a romantic candlelit surprise: Elizabeth followed a glowing path into a ballroom where a pianist played, and Edoardo emerged in a new suit to propose. The intimate setting, emotional embrace, and soft music set the tone for their future life together.

The wedding weekend began 17 July 2025 and included intimate dinners for each family, a rehearsal ceremony, and a surprise open-air concert in the town piazza by Edoardo and his band. The main celebration took place at La Cervara after their ceremony at Chiesa del Divo Martino.

Every fashion moment was custom: the couple donned bespoke Ferragamo outfits throughout the festivities, and Elizabeth’s ceremony gown was a standout design by Oscar de la Renta. Her looks evolved during the evening with carefully curated changes that reflected her and Edo’s style.

When rain unexpectedly fell during the aperitivo, the bride and groom embraced it, in Italy a “wet bride is a lucky bride.” The reception also saw Edoardo perform an original song titled “Elizabeth” for his new wife. Their celebrations extended into a “friendsmoon,” cruising along the coast to Saint-Tropez with close friends.
