Insecurity Worsens as Terrorists Demand Drugs, Virgins — Afenifere
Omoyeni Olabode

The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has raised alarm over worsening insecurity in parts of the South-West, claiming that terrorists and kidnappers now demand hard drugs and female virgins as ransom for abducted victims.
The group said the disturbing development shows how criminal activities have evolved beyond monetary ransom, warning that communities are increasingly living under fear of attacks and abductions.
Afenifere called on the Federal Government and security agencies to urgently strengthen security operations to curb terrorism, kidnapping, and other violent crimes spreading across the region.
The organisation also stressed the need for stronger intelligence gathering, improved policing, and coordinated security responses to protect residents and prevent further escalation of violence.
