IG Assures Residents of Action Against Bandits in Kwara

The Inspector-General of Police has vowed that security agencies will reclaim communities in Kwara State currently threatened by bandits, assuring residents that decisive action will be taken to restore peace and safety.

The police chief said the force is strengthening security operations and collaboration with other agencies to flush out criminal elements responsible for attacks and kidnappings in affected areas.

He assured residents that efforts are underway to stabilise the situation and ensure that displaced or affected communities can return to normal life without fear of banditry or violence.

The commitment comes amid growing concerns about bandit activities and insecurity in some parts of Kwara State, with authorities promising intensified operations to tackle the threat.
