Former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose Named REA Chairman as President Tinubu Approves 26 New Federal Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals across the boards and executive leadership of 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions, naming former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose as the Board Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). The sweeping appointments—announced on Monday in an official statement by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga—take immediate effect.
The presidency confirmed that Fayose will head the REA board alongside non-executive directors Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta, working alongside incumbent Director-General Abba Abubakar Aliyu.
