Real Madrid triumphed 2–1 over Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday, with goals from Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham sealing a vital La Liga victory.
Mbappé opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a precise low strike before Fermín López equalised for Barcelona after a defensive lapse. Bellingham restored Madrid’s lead just before half-time, finishing from close range after sustained pressure.
Mbappé later missed a penalty as Wojciech Szczesny pulled off a brilliant save, while Madrid had another goal ruled out by VAR for offside.
Barcelona’s hopes faded when Pedri was sent off in stoppage time for a second yellow card. Despite late pressure, Madrid held firm to end a four-game losing streak against their rivals and move clear at the top of La Liga.
