Bauchi Police Arrest Teenager Over Armed Robbery Allegation

Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested a teenage suspect in connection with an armed robbery incident, as part of ongoing efforts to curb rising criminal activities in the state.
According to the police, the arrest followed a distress call reporting an attack on a victim, during which the suspect allegedly used a weapon to dispossess the individual of valuables. The swift response of officers led to the apprehension of the suspect at the scene.
Investigations revealed that the teenager is believed to be linked to a series of similar robbery incidents within parts of Bauchi, with authorities uncovering evidence suggesting repeated involvement in violent theft operations.
Police spokesperson Nafiu Habib confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody, while efforts are ongoing to track down accomplices who remain at large. Items recovered from the suspect include weapons allegedly used in carrying out the attacks, as well as stolen property belonging to victims.
The command further disclosed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities reassured residents of their commitment to tackling crime and maintaining public safety, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
