ART X Lagos Announces 10th Edition: A Decade of Celebrating African Contemporary Art

ART X Lagos, West Africa's premier international art fair, is set to celebrate its 10th edition from November 6–9, 2025, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. Since its inception in 2016, the fair has become a significant platform showcasing contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. The event has drawn global attention, attracting artists and galleries from over 70 countries, and drawing attendees from more than 170 nations worldwide. The fair has been a dynamic hub for cultural exchange, offering a rich experience that combines visual arts, music, film, and design, focusing on the creativity and talent of Africa and its diaspora.
Over the years, ART X Lagos has hosted notable artists like El Anatsui, Njideka Akunyili-Crosby, Yinka Shonibare CBE, and Wangechi Mutu, among others. The fair has gained international recognition for its ability to highlight the diversity and depth of African contemporary art while providing emerging talents with the opportunity to shine on the global stage. As ART X Lagos heads into its 10th edition, the fair continues to serve as a major force in shaping the art scene on the continent, fostering a deeper understanding of African culture and its global impact. The 2025 edition will feature exhibitions from a curated selection of galleries, special installations, and various performances, reaffirming ART X Lagos' commitment to celebrating the creativity and innovation of African artists.
