Anya Taylor-Joy Elevates Dior Debut with Regal Cape Ensemble

Anya Taylor-Joy turned heads at Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris Fashion Week by stepping away from her usual sheer gowns in favour of something more dramatic and structured.
She arrived wearing a regal, equestrian-inspired cape outfit designed by Dior’s new creative director, Jonathan Anderson. The ensemble consisted of a coordinated herringbone cape paired with a matching mini skirt and a button-down vest underneath. Her look was completed with pointed black pumps.
Though her outfit was not part of the runway collection itself, critics noted how well it aligned with Anderson’s new vision for Dior, especially the emphasis on statement outerwear and menswear-inspired tailoring. Taylor-Joy has been a Dior ambassador since 2021 and has shown a willingness to adapt to the house’s evolving aesthetic over the years.
This appearance confirmed that with Jonathan Anderson taking creative reins, Anya Taylor-Joy’s fashion direction is set to become even more bold and poised, particularly ahead of future red carpet events.
