Popular Nollywood actor Rykardo Agbor has shared a deeply emotional and personal chapter of his life, revealing that he and his wife endured a painful 18-year wait before finally experiencing the joy of parenthood. The veteran movie star, widely celebrated for his prominent roles in the Yoruba film industry, opened up about the long-hidden struggle during a recent candid interview with media platform AfricanAlist.

Reflecting on nearly two decades of childlessness, Agbor detailed how the challenging period tested his endurance and devotion. Despite pressure that often surfaces in society during long periods of waiting, the actor emphasized that he chose to remain completely patient, loyal, and faithful to his wife, who comes from a different ethnic background. His faith was ultimately rewarded when they welcomed a set of twins—a boy and a girl—who are now 14 years old.

"It took 18 years for me to have the twins. And I waited," the actor shared during the moving interview. "God knows, 18 years and they are 14 now. I told God I wanted twins... and at the end of the day, I have twins. I have a boy and a girl. I asked God what I wanted."

Beyond their fertility journey, Agbor also touched on what he considers the absolute toughest moment of his entire life: the devastating loss of his mother, who tragically passed away right in his arms while he was attempting to relocate her from the hospital.
