WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Major Key to Success Part 2
I had invited God to come into my life but I had no idea how I thought things should be or how often I would close the door to God and let my will run wild. But with each struggle I have with God, I learn more about His beauty, love and patience. He isn’t so far removed from me now. He’s become my best friend. I still say, “No God, this time I think you’re wrong. I won’t.” And God waits until my whole being realizes that I’m incapable of doing it alone, that His way is the best way. He has miraculously given me the strength and courage to face life as it is. I have His help and guidance to weather the storms and enjoy the beauty I had not seen before.

Child of God, please note that total obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit will enable you to live a victorious Christian life. The righteous man is an obedient man. The life of an obedient man has been positioned to flourish for his thoughts are right. The obedient man is absolutely dependent on the Lord. He understands mercy and the grace of God and wisdom is found in him hence his mouth becomes a well of life. An obedient man increases in learning, his days are multiplied and the years of his life is increased.
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
— Job 36:11–12
Obedience comes before service, many a times, we miss God because we want to do things based on our own set of rules, traditions, and religious nonsense. The Pharisees were so addicted to religion such that they missed God’s plan for the season. If you are wrapped up by traditions, you can’t see what God sees. Your ways must line up with
His ways and your thoughts must line up with His thoughts. The hypocrite is a pretender. He has familiarity with the language of the church. He is well involved with the church activities but he has already backslidden on God. Pretenders can pretend for so long, the day of reckoning is coming. Mr. Pretender screams the loudest and sings the longest.
Wise Saying
There is something transformational about saying “yes” to God.
