WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Open Doors – Revelation 3:8
You are programmed for open doors in Jesus’ name. To be your best require God’s favour on your life and it also require your input which comes through hard work. God never promised to bless the lazy. God promised to bless the work of your hands. Zero multiplied by one Billion is ZERO. Those that will make it to the top are early risers. Such people work while others are asleep. Make a commitment to work smarter this year.
To experience open doors simply means more responsibilities, more assignment, and more hard work not less. Be committed to your calling through demonstration of effective time management. If you cannot manage your time well, you will soon lose track of what is a priority to you. If you don’t know where you are going, any road will do.
A number of people cannot manage time well so they ended up blaming God for the open doors God enable them to enjoy. For instance, a barren woman who suddenly was blessed with a baby might reduce her commitment in the house of the Lord or not getting to church as previous mainly because she now has a child to look after. Your blessing should not become a curse. Your blessing should not pull you away from God.
Over the years, I had met people who suddenly enjoyed the favour of God by either securing a good job or promotion, or awarded some big contracts and so become preoccupied with the new assignments at hand thereby become less effective in the things of God. When an alarm bell is raised with such people, I have received the same response over and over again, which is: “The new opportunity that came my way has eaten deep into my time, I hardly have time for anything else.” Is that YOU? Change today, come back home.

Wise Saying
What you do with your time today will make or mar your tomorrow; what you are today is your yesterday’s investments.

1 Kgs 12:1–19 – Rehoboam means who sets the people at liberty was set to be the next king of Israel but wrong counsel denied him of entering into the fullness of his purpose in life.
