WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

John 11:3-4 - We all hear voices most of the time – the voices of our dreams, the voices of our consciences, the voices of our desires and sometimes the voice of God; Most times we struggle to know which is which! Christianity is a strange religion – it is: believe, receive, suffer and rejoice. (it's important to stress here that Jesus coming to the earth was to establish relationship between us and God, hence religion as you may have probably known is an opium of the people).
Evangelists are usually good at explaining the first two; after all, John wrote in John 1:12, "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." And the final rejoicing part is usually pretty well represented in sermons too. But what of number 3? Suffer? Is that really part of the deal? Immediately Paul was stoned and left for dead, Paul took his friend Barnabas to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, "strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God, they proclaimed" Acts 14:22.
Live your life like you are the hero in your own movie
Brethren, hardship is part of the journey to the kingdom. Paul visited this topic time and time again. Romans 8:17-19 - if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compare to the glory he will reveal to us later ......
Wise Saying
Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards
How do you find balance between these four stages—believing, receiving, suffering, and rejoicing—in your own walk? Let us know in the comments!

Luke 4:16 - So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. In Jesus’ inaugural address, He is associating His work of being man’s Benefactor through redemption—the freeing of man from bondage to Satan, the world, and our nature—to the beginning of the fulfilment of God’s redemptive function for the Sabbath. In Luke 4:16, He was beginning to magnify the Sabbath law.

The best gift of all is the gift of Jesus Christ. His death, burial, and resurrection that we should celebrate daily have guaranteed eternal life to all who put their trust in Him. God gave His Son and Jesus gave His blood. There is no greater love in the entire world than God’s love for people.

In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Jesus came that we could enjoy the life of God to its fullest measure even to the overflowing point.
