Juniper tree Part 5

Among other things; one of the things that drove Elijah under the juniper tree was the harsh criticism of his ministry killing the prophets of baal hence Jezebel was determined to not only arrest Elijah but to actually kill him. We don't learn best when people agree and applaud us. We learn best when we make mistakes and experience the intense emotions connected with failures and rejections. Great feedback is a critical element of best-practice performance management.
Elijah's activity was God ordained by repairing the altar of God but this was not well received by the authority that was in place at the time. In the case of Elijah, his was a persecution by the wife of the king – Jezebel and not just a criticism of his ministry – the enemy came to steal, to kill and to destroy, that was Elijah's experience.
We all need people who will give us feedback. That's how we improve. Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man's growth without destroying his roots. Feedback is the breakfast of champions. Feedback is a gift. Ideas are the currency of our next success. Let people see how well you value both feedback and ideas. There is no failure. Only feedback. African proverb says – Examine what is said and not who speaks.
Our final thought on this series is that you should endeavour to orchestrate your destiny using daily Imagery. Take advantage of the fact that your brain does not know the difference between what's real and what's imagined when it comes to imagery. Instruct your day-dreaming activity to envisage what happiness and success look like, feel like, smell like, taste like, and sound like. You are already wired for success. You are created in the image of God and in His likeness' i.e. you have the ability to function like God. We are gods on the planet earth. Visualization is daydreaming with a purpose.
