WORD OF GOD FOR TODAY

Release Part 1

Good day, people of God. Today we are starting a new series that will last for I some days but be confident that you will be truly blessed through them all. There are some things we are holding onto and they are pulling us back hence the series centred on the need to RELEASE or DITCH those things so that we can live our lives, fulfilling purpose and fulfilling mandate.

The first filthy garment to put off is getting glued to the past. Please settle in your mind that the past is dead and buried. You cannot improve yesterday because it's long gone!

There's no point in wondering what could have, should have and would have been if you had done something differently. Your past is forgiven and forgotten. Dwelling on the past and worrying about the future will only rob you of the present's joy. Learn to focus on the light ahead instead of dwelling on the darkness that's already behind you. If you want to fly on the sky, you need to leave the carth. If you want to move forward, you need to let go the past that drags you down.

When your trust has been betrayed, the only thing to do is live, learn and let go. Otherwise the betrayal done by another will turn into hate for them. But they will not feel this bate; it will only hurt you more, growing bigger and darker. So, live, learn and let go. By living, it means they did not burt you so deep that you cannot move forward. Learn; learn to not trust this person again, and to make more of a sound judgement in the future. Letting go doesn't mean forgetting. It means that you have let go of the pain it caused.

When we let go and stop dragging the pain of the past, we free ourselves of dead weight and allow our hearts to heft the good stuff...the stuff that makes our journey lighter, easier, and more meaningful. Toni Sorenson
