In a recent statement, Trump asserted that he is "not a fan" of the current Pope, accusing him of being "soft on crime" and overly idealistic in his views on global conflict.
While the Pope’s messages were centered on human dignity and the avoidance of catastrophic warfare, Trump argued that such stances project weakness. He suggested that the Pontiff’s rhetoric fails to account for the "tough realities" of modern crime and the necessity of maintaining a strong military deterrent to ensure peace.
