25-Year-Old NYSC Doctor

The medical community and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members are in deep mourning following the tragic death of a 25-year-old medical doctor serving his fatherland. The young practitioner reportedly collapsed and passed away after his continuous pleas for an urgent sick leave were allegedly rejected by the administration of the hospital where he was primary-assigned.

According to viral reports from inner circles, the young doctor had been complaining of severe physical fatigue and illness for days while managing an overwhelming patient load. Despite officially documenting his deteriorating health and requesting time off to seek proper medical care, he was reportedly told to remain on duty due to severe staff shortages—a decision that ultimately ended in an avoidable disaster.

"We are losing our brightest minds to a broken system that values shifts over human lives. He went to school for years to save others, only to be denied the right to be saved when he fell ill." — Excerpts from online tributes by fellow medical colleagues
