After intense family negotiations and public outcry, Damilola Bolaji, the widow of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji (popularly known as Toluwanisings), has agreed to allow her late husband to be buried at his personal residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The resolution comes after days of heated dispute between the singer's paternal family and his widow over the final resting place of the 41-year-old artist.

The family had previously rejected initial plans for a public cemetery interment, insisting that the singer be buried at his Ibadan residence or taken to his hometown to be laid to rest beside his late mother.

Close associates and family representatives confirmed that the misunderstanding between Toluwanisings’ father and his widow has been resolved, with all parties agreeing to proceed with the burial at his home.

Close colleague Lanre Alewilese publicly appealed to online commentators and fans to cease harassment of the young widow, emphasizing that she needed peace and emotional space during this tragic period.
The gifted gospel minister passed away on October 14, 2026, after collapsing and suffering fatal complications following rejections at multiple healthcare facilities in Ibadan.
“Please for God's sake, let peace reign. Damilola is very young for what she's currently going through... The disagreement between Toluwanisings' father and his widow has been resolved. The duo have agreed to bury Toluwanisings at his house. Please, Nigerians, let there be peace.”
