Portable Claims Burna Boy Paid Him N20m to Defeat Speed Darlington

Controversial Street artist Portable claims Burna Boy paid him N20 million to take down Speed Darlington. In a video released on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Portable claimed the substantial payout was a reward for his victory in a celebrity boxing match that saw him face off against the American-based Nigerian rapper.

The singer later took to social media to celebrate a much larger windfall, thanking "Odogwu" (Burna Boy) for the N20 million "gift."
This financial gesture is widely viewed as a move by Burna Boy to settle a long-standing score with Speed Darlington. The two have been embroiled in a bitter feud since late 2024, which previously led to Darlington’s arrest and detention for defamation after he made mocking remarks about Burna Boy’s professional connections. In his latest video, Portable expressed his gratitude but also hinted at a desire for more than just cash, urging Burna Boy to collaborate on a song rather than "ignoring his DMs." Not one to miss a business opportunity, Portable also reached out to Wizkid, offering to "finish" comedian Carter Efe for a similar N20 million fee.
