Netanyahu Orders Strikes on Gaza After Hamas ‘Ceasefire Breach’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered immediate strikes on Gaza following accusations that Hamas violated a US-brokered ceasefire. The directive came after Hamas delayed handing over a hostage’s remains, claiming Israel had breached the truce.
Netanyahu’s office condemned Hamas for returning partial remains of a hostage previously recovered two years ago, calling it a “clear violation of the agreement.”
Hamas denied deliberate wrongdoing, insisting that Israel’s ongoing bombardments have hindered recovery efforts. Israeli officials said “nothing is off the table” in response, signaling possible escalation. The fragile truce, in effect since October 10, now hangs in the balance amid renewed tensions and fears of resumed conflict.
