Senator Ned Nwoko has revealed the actual age at which he married popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, putting to rest years of public speculation about the age gap between the two. Speaking in a recent interview, the billionaire politician and businessman stated that Regina was only 19 years old when they got married, while he was in his late fifties. He explained that their union, which stirred widespread debate at the time, was based on mutual understanding, cultural values, and family approval.
According to Nwoko, he and Regina had a traditional marriage that fully complied with Nigerian customs, dismissing claims that he lured her into the relationship. He noted that Regina’s mother played a major role in the marriage process and gave her full consent. “Regina was not a child when we married; she was mature and knew what she wanted,” he said. “Our marriage was not rushed, and everything was done properly. I have never forced anyone into my life or decisions.”
The senator also addressed ongoing controversies surrounding his family life, stressing that despite public misconceptions, Regina has been a supportive and respectful wife. He praised her for balancing motherhood, career, and education while managing her public image responsibly. Nwoko stated that their marriage has been blessed with love and peace, describing Regina as “wise beyond her years” and a positive influence on their family.
