The head of Guardian TV, Lois Ogunniyi, has fallen victim to a robbery attack by suspected “one-chance” robbers while commuting in Lagos. The incident occurred on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Toyota Bus Stop along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, as she made her way to the Guardian’s headquarters in Isolo.

According to Ogunniyi, a man seated beside her in the mini-bus demanded her bag. When she hesitated, the man reportedly pulled out a weapon and threatened her before forcefully taking the bag. Inside were her laptop, phone, original documents (including passport and NIN), personal items, and food. She immediately raised an alarm during and after the robbery.

Despite other passengers being present in the bus, none intervened — a situation which suggests a coordinated robbery. The robbers alighted from the bus calmly. Ogunniyi and the Chief Security Officer of The Guardian later reported the matter at Mushin Police Station.
