Zuchu Split from Husband Diamond Platnumz

Tanzanian music star Zuhura Othman Kopa, popularly known as Zuchu, has announced her official split from her husband, Bongo Flava icon Diamond Platnumz.

Taking to her social media handles she broke the news directly to her millions of followers. She requested privacy as she navigates the difficult transition, emphasizing that the decision to walk away from their marriage was final.

"With a heavy heart, I want to announce that Diamond and I are no longer together. We have officially parted ways. I ask for your respect and privacy during this incredibly difficult time as I focus on my life, my healing, and my music. Thank you for the love and support you have always shown me."

The relationship between the two grew out of their close professional ties at WCB Wasafi, the record label owned by Diamond Platnumz where Zuchu is signed as the leading female artist. After keeping fans guessing for years with highly suggestive musical collaborations, music videos, and cozy public outings, the duo eventually formalized their relationship in marriage, instantly becoming Tanzania's premier musical power couple.

Despite their creative chemistry, the relationship was frequently plagued by intense public scrutiny, cheating allegations, and brief periods of separation before they ultimately reconciled. However, Zuchu's latest statement signals a permanent, structural break.
